In 2019, KAIZEN worked closely with the City of Sandy Springs and the Sandy Springs Conservancy group on developing the Sandy Springs Trail Master Plan that identified 31.4 miles of trails and moved forward with the implementation of the model project in design-engineering.

This Phase 2A project includes a 1.9 miles multi-use trail connecting to Morgan Falls Park, a central boardwalk built with a top-down construction method over Orkin Lake, and trail amenities. In addition to design engineering, KAIZEN also assisted the City to obtain all required trail easements from the adjacent properties, along with obtaining the necessary Metropolitan River Protection Act (MRPA) review recommendation and approval through the Atlanta Regional Commission.
